Welcome to the home of Loughborough Students Wado Ryu Karate!Based at Loughborough University, we train in the style of Wado Ryu karate. We cater for all levels, with absolute beginners starting their training with us from the very start to experienced black belts who have been training for years before joining us, with everyone receiving the same level of training as everyone else
Within LSU WRK we aim to foster and develop the style of Wado Ryu and discourage any misuse. We provide a friendly environment with regular training so members can develop their skills. We train for many reasons, to learn the style of Wado Ryu, to improve fitness, or for the sporting competition aspect of karate
One of the most important competitions in our year, is the British Universities and College Sports Championships (BUCS). In previous years we've brought back medals for both sparring and kata, and we encourage people to compete, both for a bit of fun and also to gain valuable experience
